Mantua, 8 July 2023 – Veronica Lasagna it’s the new one Miss Mantua by Miss Italy. He won the title in the Mascara nightclub.
The winner must turn 19 on Monday 23 July. Miss Mantova 2023 lives in the center of the Virgilian city with mum Valentina and dad Francesco. The aspiring Miss Italy was born in Fiorenzuola, an active center in the province of Piacenza: “I was born in Emilia only because my parents are friends of doctors from the Fiorenzuola hospital – explains Miss Lasagna, stature 1,82, brown hair and brown eyes -; we are 100% Mantuan”.
The first classified thank mom Valentina. “She urged me to participate in the competition, I was hesitant. Mom told me that you only live once and it is appropriate to try your hand at experiences like Miss Italy and I listened to her. Now thanks to her I am very happy. In addition to having qualified for the regional finals of Miss Italy, I am now proudly representing my city. It’s beautiful, I didn’t expect it”. Veronica Lasagna preceded the Bresciana Simon Pavia, 175cm, brown eyes and brown hair, bright smile. Simona, 19, certainly has the physique of an actress and lives in Gussago. Valance ranked third Erin Braida, 21, from Pegognaga, blonde with blue eyes. Erin is highly rated. She is 1, 71 tall. Fourth position for a girl already admitted to the regional finals (24 hours before she came third in Suzzara), Sofia Gasparini, 21, from Mantua, height 1.68, green-eyed blonde. The seventeen year old Aurora Zavattini of Rodigo, height 1.65, auburn hair and green eyes, ranked 5th. Beyond Sofia Gasparini and Miss Lasagna the placed Simona Pavia, Erin Braida and Aurora Zavattini are admitted to the regional finals. Instead, Matilde Farruggia, 18, from Castiglione Olona from Varese, who finished sixth at the Mascara, will have to participate in at least one other basic selection to detach the pass towards the regionals. The 15 contestants of Miss Mantova paraded in front of the jury presided over by William Leggeri. Martina Lucchini, winner of the Miss Mantova title in 2022, was also on the Mascara jury. “The biggest difficulty for me was smiling all the time”. Veronica boasts participation in castings as a model; however, they are different situations in which she does not smile at herself all the time. “It was wonderful to compete at the Mascara and I didn’t think I’d win – Veronica reiterates – also because among the participants there were Erin Braida, Aurora Zavattini, Sofia Gasparini and other very beautiful girls whom I feared. I think I also won for my show style. I made a difference with my bearing”. Veronica has a role model to be imitated in the golden register of Miss Italy: Francesca Chillemi, Sicilian, first in the 2003 edition. “A very good actress, for me she is the most beautiful among the winners of the competition”. Miss Mantova dreams of a future in fashion: “I will attend university, faculty of fashion design. If I don’t feel at ease, I’ll switch to sociology to become a criminologist”. Now Veronica has to think about winning a regional final of Miss Italy to get to the national final. “Another dream. Whatever the outcome of the Miss Italia competition will be, I am sure it will be an important experience, one to remember for a lifetime”.
