throws a cat off a cliff for fun and films himself – Il Meridiano News

MONTEFUSCO IRPINO – A video that is making the rounds on social networks has aroused anger and indignation on the web, showing a boy throwing a kitten into the void while showing amusement and smiling at the camera. The bloody and shocking episode allegedly took place in Montefusco, in Irpinia, while the protagonist of the video, as many indignant users report to the deputy of the Verdi-Left Alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli who denounced the next to the Authorities, would be from Benevento.

Having recognized the perpetrator of the horrible act, many have contacted him on social media but the boy has not shown repentance at all but, on the contrary, has increased the dose by sending a vowel on WhatsApp in which he says he wants to challenge anyone who seeks justice for the cat killed. In another version he speaks of a hypothetical video montage of which, however, he does not explain the reason.

“We have already reported everything to the Authorities to whom we have also indicated the Instagram profile that has been reported to us by the citizens as the one belonging to the protagonist of the video. We expect that the matter will be investigated and go to the bottom of the story” – declared Borrelli that on Sunday 28 May he will take part in an initiative promoted by the animal rights movement led by Enrico Rizzi and which will start at 11.30 from Piazza Castello in Montefusco.

“Civil society must give a loud and clear signal to those who commit such heinous crimes against defenseless living beings. We are no longer willing to tolerate this unprecedented violence against animals. “-explains Rizzi-”Those who are violent with animals are, in most cases, also with people. He worries that a young person is doing this people. Politics must intervene immediately to tighten the penalties for those who carry out these absolutely criminal acts.”.

“We have long been calling for new regulations and new laws that provide for harsher penalties for those who mistreat animals. When I was a regional councilor, I approved a decree which introduced financial penalties for those who keep pets in chains. Now it’s time to do more, it’s time for the Government to make a strong commitment to defend animal rights” – concluded the deputy on the matter.

While those who kill defenseless animals for entertainment, there are also those who do their utmost to save them. This is the story, this time with a happy ending, that a citizen told Borrelli:

“Hello MP, there is still hope. The other evening in Frattaminore, near the Pavean coffee bar, I took part in the recovery of a kitten stuck in a car engine. After several attempts, I and ten other boys we met on the spot decided to call the 115 operators who intervened promptly and made the puppy safe. What surprised me the most was witnessing the cooperation of many young people, hitherto unknown, who worked with every means and for more than an hour for the sole purpose of protecting the fragility of a defenseless being. No one passed the responsibility on to the other, no one left worrying about the following day’s commitments, despite the late hour.

I’m proud to belong to a generation, too often underestimated, that knows how to show care for those who are weak and that don’t spare themselves when it comes to getting their hands dirty. I would also like to address words of praise to the firefighters, always ready to intervene when it comes to making the world a better place.

Love unites more than hate, care wins over indifference. There is still hope. The kitten was taken to a shelter by firefighters.” “Yes, there is still hope” – Borrelli committed- “But the institutions must feed it and make new laws. Good stories must serve as an example for others but it is the state that must fight cruelty. ”
