An exceptional location for a major exhibition that has recorded great numbers in Lucca. Since yesterday, the exhibition “Qual occhio al mondo. Puccini fotografico”, organized by the Ragghianti Foundation in collaboration with the Simonetta Puccini Foundation for Giacomo Puccini and the Giacomo Puccini Study Center, has debuted in the spaces of the Teatro Real in Madrid as part of the international festival PHotoESPAÑA 2024, the most prestigious Spanish event of photography and visual arts, with the patronage of the Italian Embassy. The exhibition, curated by Paolo Bolpagni, Gabriella Biagi Ravenni and Patrizia Mavilla, will be open until July 22.

On display in Madrid is a selection of twenty photographs from the ninety exhibited in Lucca, reproduced on large-format supports in the foyer, along the monumental staircases and in other spaces of the Teatro Real, to allow the best enjoyment by the public. “Particularly welcome, then, the desired coincidence of the inauguration with the premiere of ‘Madama Butterfly’ conducted by Maestro Nicola Luisotti” were the words of Paolo Bolpagni, director of the Ragghianti Foundation and co-curator of the exhibition, on the occasion of the announcement of the great event. Today at 6 pm, furthermore, Bolpagni himself and Nicola Luisotti will be the protagonists of a conference-dialogue at the Italian Cultural Institute of Madrid, introduced by the director Maria Luisa Pappalardo.
