Referral to trial for the Councilor for Urban Planning of the Municipality of Latina Annalisa Muzio, considered the alleged responsible for the crime of road homicide for the death of a pedestrian who died following a road accident that occurred in Latina on the evening of September 14, 2021 in via Capograssa in front of the Park Hotel in the Piccarello area.

The victim Giorgio Pedaci, a music teacher living in Latina, was on foot and had been hit by the Range Rover driven by the Councilor. The man had fallen to the ground, hitting his head on the pavement. The politician who was running for mayor at the time, had stopped to help the man who was transported in serious condition to Goretti.

Due to the injuries sustained, the pedestrian died after a month. In the courtroom today, the prosecutor Marina Marra requested the referral to trial while the lawyer Renato Archidiacono who assists the Councilor requested the dismissal. Then, after the council chamber, the decision of the preliminary hearing judge Giuseppe Cario who ordered the referral to trial: the first hearing is set for April 10, 2025. There are ten civil parties.

In the indictment, the investigators hypothesized that the pedestrian was driving without using the pedestrian crossings that were less than a hundred meters away from him. In less than a year, the trip with the first hearing before the single judge.
