PISTOIA – Both maintaining their own identity, the Forza Italia party joins the Amo Pistoia civic list in the city council. The group leader of Forza Italia-Pistoia Civica, Iacopo Bojola, and the group leader of the Amo Pistoia civic list, Paola Calzolari, spoke about the new union in the city council.
“With a slightly modified symbol – explains Bojola – the union between Amo Pistoia and Forza Italia-Pistoia Civica. A merger of a civic movement similar to ours, a work that begins as early as 2017 and we are in line with all the programs and therefore simplifying the panorama also in view of the results of the run-off of the administrative and European elections”.
Forza Italia together with Amo Pistoia – continues Bojola – has decided to give a response to citizens by creating a new grouping “founded by our values that characterize our mandate”.
A new center political force in the city council with six councilors already present next Wednesday in the Grandonio hall of the Municipality of Pistoia.
“We are strengthening our centrist position with a group of six city councilors who will be able to be more incisive with loyal support to Alessandro Tomasi, the Council and our reference assessors. We have anticipated this initiative to all the center-right group leaders who have taken it with great enthusiasm” concludes Bojola.
Paola Calzolari of Amo Pistoia highlights “It was natural to join Forza Italia because we have been following a common path since 2017. Forza Italia is a moderate party that vigorously pursues objectives that have always been shared with Amo Pistoia. It was therefore natural to join this group with which we have shared liberal and democratic ideas since 2017.” (i.l)
