Certa Stampa – IMAGO FILM FESTIVAL MOVES TO TERAMO, FROM 27 TO 3 AUGUST

Now in its third edition, the International IMAGO Film Festival with the artistic direction of Claudio Rossi Maximum and the organization of Lucia Macaleis preparing to open the doors for an eight-day full immersion in the magical world of cinema in Teramo (Te) from July 27th to August 3rd and thanks to the excellent results obtained in previous editions, it moves to the provincial capital and is enriched with guests and events, highlighting its growth both in content and participation. The festival will be presented in Rome during a happening between experts and enthusiasts of the sector who will be present at the Casa del Cinema il next July 3rd at 5pm.

In addition to the screenings, the festival also offers a large number of live shows and concerts: the festival will in fact have a busy schedule of screenings, the afternoon screenings in the original language from all over the world from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm screened in the Sala L’arca in Teramo; every evening in Piazza Martiri della Libertà there will be screenings of films in competition preceded by guests. There are over 2800 works registered, even more than last year, which require a great deal of jury work to assign the coveted 14 prizes to Italian and foreign films.

In the past two editions, many well-known filmmakers from all over the world have participated in the festival, which also received recognition from the Ministry of Culture, Cinema Department.

The couple in work and life formed by Federico Perrotta and Valentina Olla will present and entertain the public, also for this edition, with guests who will be different for each evening; among the many there are also Anthony Catania, Morselli Demo e Marcello Cirillo, Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Maurizio Mattioli. Also on August 2nd there will be a concert by the Maestro Enrico Pieranunzi with his jazz trio, while the gala evening with award ceremony and guest is scheduled for August 3rd Antonella Attili.

The screenings are always free to enter both in the afternoon and in the square in Teramo, for cinema under the stars from 9.30pm.

What is IMAGO?

The IMAGO reality was born in Rome in 2000 on the initiative of professionals with great experience in the cinema and television sectors.

Over the years he has produced more than 50 documentaries of various genres, mostly dedicated to culture, tourism, history, archaeology, the environment and popular traditions. As well as sitcoms, short films and two feature films.

Since 2000 it has been a supplier of RAI Radio Televisione Italiana. The prestigious collaborations that IMAGO has had over the years include, among others: Il Messaggero, ACLI (Associazione Cristiana dei Lavoratori Italiani). Unicef, Banca d’Italia, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Policlinico Agostino Gemelli and many Italian Cultural Institutes abroad. In 2015 IMAGO made the feature film La sindrome di Antonio, directed by Claudio Rossi Massimi; the film was selected and screened as a world premiere in the KINO section of the Rome Film Festival. It was also selected among the six Italian films for NICE International Film Festival of Moscow and St. Petersburg; it was a finalist at the Oiff Turin Cinefest and, in April 2017, it won the Imperia International Film Festival as Best Film. La sindrome di Antonio also received a special mention at the Ariano Film Festival for its dialogues and screenplay.

In June 2017, IMAGO produced the documentary Pope Francis, My Idea of ​​Art, an itinerary of the Holy Father in the Vatican Museums, the first audiovisual work whose subject was written by a Pontiff.

In 2021, IMAGO produced The Right to Happiness, shot between Civitella del Tronto and Teramo. The film, written and directed by Claudio Rossi Massimi, received numerous and important international awards. To date, in fact, it has received 44 awards from film festivals in Italy and around the world.

IMAGO has been organizing the Italian Film Days for years in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institutes Abroad.

In the past he also organized the Festival of Italian Azerbaijani Cinema in Azerbaijan in Baku. In these and other venues he organized and organizes exhibitions dedicated to the history of cinema.
