NAPLES, 01 JUL – The ‘Festival of the suburbs’, a free event dedicated to bands under 35, is starting at Masseria Ferraioli in Afragola (NA) on 4, 5 and 6 July. In the property confiscated from the Camorra, exhibitions and live music will alternate with concerts by A Smile From Godzilla, Little Pieces of Marmelade, La Municipàl, Fran, The Devils and Thru Collected. Also planned are impromptu performances of graphic and visual arts, exhibitions, in-depth workshops on the recording and artistic sectors, moments of meetings and discussions in a real multidisciplinary festival with the artistic direction of the 24 Grana musician Giuseppe Fontanella. The event is organized as part of the “Per Chi Crea” program, supported by MiC and SIAE, and follows the last two editions of the Scampia Music Fest. The Festival of the Suburbs is also made possible thanks to the Libera association and Amnesty International. The choice of location is not random. The Masseria, in via Enrico Berlinguer, is the largest confiscated asset in the metropolitan area of ​​Naples. It covers an area of ​​approximately 12 hectares, equal to 120 thousand square metres, and bears the name of Antonio Esposito Ferraioli, cook, scout and trade unionist for the CGIL, an innocent victim of the Camorra. The first two workshops scheduled to open on Thursday 4 July will open. This is “How chaos sounds – all recycled instruments” with Maurizio Capone, from 3pm to 4.30pm, to discover how to make musical instruments from recycled materials. Followed by, from 5pm to 6.30pm, “Planning the promotion of a musical event” with iCompany by Francesco Galassi. A free concert by Maurizio Capone is scheduled from 8.00 pm. Friday 5 July, from 12.30 pm, Antonio Pellegrino talks about dynamics and methodologies with the workshop “Pre-production is important. How to organize a concert. Saturday 6 July “Personal branding and effective communication” curated by Verve ETS. The illustrator Francesca Radicetta will produce live works inspired by what will happen on stage (ANSA).
