PESCARA. Well yes, scheduled in Abruzzo from Saturday 6th, but already started in the form of discount, pre-sale or liquidation of goods. We are talking about the summer sales and the “bargain hunt” rather than a more functional renewal of the wardrobe to wear and put on new things to take advantage of the summer that has just begun. If the CNA invites you to what only apparently seem to be the anti-fraud tips starting from checking the pre-sale price, going through asking for an exchange of goods even if purchased with a discount, even the people of Abruzzo have become smart. And if on the one hand they wait for the discount, on the other they look for it and find it well before the official date of July 6th.

In the city, as in hypermarkets and outlets, for at least a week you can buy clothing, shoes and accessories with discounts of 20-30% at the cash desk. A “customer-grab” method that has been consolidated over time and often leverages the relationship of knowledge and trust that is created between the shopkeeper and the buyer: the same trust that the CNA hopes will be confirmed in the days and weeks of the sales so that there are no price scams overpriced or goods not exchanged with the “excuse” of the discount.

As for the average expected expenditure for the 2024 summer sales, it would be around 230 euros per person: a figure destined to drastic cuts if you are part of a family unit where there are 3 or 4 or more people buying during the sales. Another item of discussion is what we will put in the envelope first and then in the closets: clothing in 70% of the receipts, shoes in the remaining 30. Percentages that can be reviewed in the case of accessories or the always popular suitcase for travel to be renewed by taking advantage of the discount. However, the vacation does not enter into the purchases item: the summer one is in peak season and the deal can be seized only if you are ready to push on to December by planning the Christmas getaway.

“The sales? This has always been a decisive event for commercial activities – says the director of the provincial CNA of Pescara, Luciano Di Lorito – because it is able to give financial oxygen to operators who are caught between increasing difficulties. Difficulties linked to the increase in costs, to the competition of shopping centers and large online platforms. The local system therefore needs to be ready for these events, but this does not always happen due to collateral factors: such as the many open maintenance sites in our cities, and the consequent restrictions on mobility and parking. If to all this we add the difficult conditions of families, the reduced margin of economic availability, then we understand how truly decisive this event is”.
