«The Zone 167 Committee expresses its deepest thanks to Ferrotramviaria SpA for having demonstrated that, with competence and dedication, it is possible to complete public utility projects without infinite delays. Thanks which must also be extended for the beautiful planting of trees in Via Leonardo Da Vinci at the corner of Via Paolo Ricci and for the planting of the traffic island leading to the underpass of Via Alvisi, as expected compensation, but which, as will be clearly visible to all citizens, they are already in the process of rapidly drying up as there is no adequate maintenance that the Administration should have provided.
English: After this great victory, we allow ourselves to hope for another titanic undertaking: the completion of the now mythological underground parking lot. Yes, that very parking lot that has been talked about for so long that we are beginning to suspect that it only exists in fairy tales. We hope that the Municipal Administration will demonstrate the same diligent commitment that it has put into claiming merits that are often not its own and that, this time, it will finally decide to move from words to deeds. It would be truly extraordinary if, after yet another announcement, we could see not only the beginning, formally held on September 4, 2023, but also the end of the works on this much-vaunted parking lot. Citizens, now experts in urban archaeology, could finally enjoy a structure that would significantly complete the entire area, improving the quality of life and trafficability of the city. We therefore invite the Administration to reflect on the meaning of public service and to take an example from those who have shown that things can really be done, and in reasonable times. In the meantime, we are preparing for yet another ceremony to lay the first stone, confident that, one day, that stone may be followed by many others until the underground parking is completed. Thanks again to Ferrotramviaria for showing us that professionalism and efficiency exist, even if they are not always where they should be».
