The Regional Civil Protection Operations Room has issued ayellow weather alert for strong thunderstorms mainly on the coastal area of Tuscany, Leghorn included, from 9 tonight, Monday July 1st, at 8 tomorrow morning. According to forecasts, in fact, the front that will affect the North during the day will reach the central regions, including Tuscany, with the arrival of rain and thunderstorms and a reduction in temperatures, driven by intensifying northern currents. An improvement in weather conditions is expected only starting from late tomorrow morning.

- Avoid crossing flooded roads and underpasses if they appear to be flooded as the depth and speed of the water may be greater than it appears.
- The force of the precipitation could cause the manhole caps to come out of their seats: pay attention when driving even on slightly flooded streets.
- Be careful when traveling on roads where the water has receded because there could be dangers.
- Avoid walking or stopping along the banks of waterways, and on bridges and walkways.
- Place barriers to prevent water from flooding rooms below street level, such as cellars and underground garages.
