That his permanence in the shadow of Cidneo was a difficult if not impossible mission was already known, but reading it in black and white certainly hurts. Now it’s official: John Petrucelli is no longer a Pallacanestro Brescia player. The canonical press release was published by the club on Monday morning and now the winger with an Italian passport is ready to land not in the Euroleague, but in Trapani.

Petrucelli, in three seasons in Brescia, was able to establish himself as one of the prized pieces not only of the Germani squad but of the entire Italian championship. The call to the national team also arrived in 2022, with which he is currently involved in the pre-Olympic tournament in Puerto Rico. Last season he was also awarded the title of best defender in Serie A.

“Pallacanestro Brescia thanks and greets John Petrucelli for these three fantastic years spent together – wrote Germani on social media – A path which, thanks to the sporting and non-sporting structure of the Club, has allowed John to become one of the strongest Italian players in the A league”.

Petrucelli made 114 appearances for Brescia, scoring 1,130 points. He was then among the protagonists of the historic victory of the 2023 Italian Cup.
