Not even the national football team stops the “Errebi Mobility” team padel championship of the CSI Astigiano. On Monday 24 June, Arena Padel Team and Icecebois took to the field, with the boys of Maverik Alafleur (finalist at the Waya Centenary Tournament on Sunday 30 June) taking home their third 3-0 of the season.
Another 3-0 was seen the following evening at the Asti Padel club, where the home team beat the Puntazos thus maintaining the top of the table, always awaiting the recovery of the A-Team which will take place on Thursday 4 July. On the other court, the “Elite” match between Dama Work Solution and Format srl was won by the latter, capable of winning the first set 6-4 but above all of taking the second in the tie-break, leaving Bertolino and his associates the last gaming session.
In the only match scheduled for Wednesday 26th, A-Team defeated Jolly Ludic CSI 3-0, thus keeping pace with the top teams while the “jokers” of the Asti championship were forced to maintain last place.
On Thursday 27th there were three matches played: at 7pm at the Valenzani club the “Pro” category match took place between Abdominal and Imppensabili, which ended 2-1 in favor of the former who forced the Waya team to the twelfth game in the first set, making up for it with a double 6-1 in the last two.
At 18.30 at Asti Padel it was the turn of the Mixed championship, with the very balanced recovery of the sixth day between Giovani Dentro and Beverly Hills 14100 (see the full match on Youtube): in the first set the Leopardo-Lovisolo duo managed to almost completely exclude Christian Garena from the game, leaving everything in the hands of Silvia Ogliari who defended with numerous lobs until the winning smash by Alfredo Leopardo. In the second set Simone Porcellana replaced Garena and Beverly Hills took advantage of this to obtain the draw, while in the third Margherita Povero (see the interview at the end of the match on Instagram) replaced Ogliari and the greater freshness certainly affected the final result of 6-3 for the final 2-1 in favor of BH14100.
At 8.00 pm on the pitch 2 Cisterna Padel Club and FTP Soc. Coop. they gave life to another balanced match, more on games (32 total played) than on sets, since in the end the scoreboard reads 6-4/6-4/7-5 which translates into a 3-0 for the Butticè couple -Size iron.
The “Mixed” championship closed the seventh week of play, with the match between Chiquita Team and Giovani Dentro won 2-1: on field 1 of the Waya Padel the format of the previous evening was repeated for Giovani Dentro, who they win the first set but leave the last two to their opponents.
With this victory Chiquita Team maintains the top of the Mixed standings at 13 points, followed by Beverly Hills at 11 (with one race less) and Giovani Dentro at 9 points. Immediately behind are Crumpets (7 but with 5 games played) and at the bottom of the table is DB Padel, still stuck at 2.
In the men’s competition, the “Elite” team of Asti Padel temporarily stands out with 19 points, followed by two “Pro” teams, namely A-Team (18) and Arena PT (16). Following the “Elite” trio made up of Cisterna (13), Dama (12) and Format (10), with Cisterna and Format who this week will make up for the races postponed due to bad weather on Friday 21 June. On equal points with Format, but with one game more, we find Abdominal, followed by Puntazos (7 but with one game less), then FTP (5), Imppensabili (4), Icecebois and Jolly Ludic (3).
It will be a very hot first week of July for the “Errebi Mobility” championship: it will begin on Monday 1st with the clash between the A-Team and Arena PT, while on Wednesday 3rd the match between Cisterna and I Puntazos will be interesting. The next day at the club in via Gerbi the big match between A-Team and Format will finally take place while a few kilometers further on, at Valenzani, the challenge for first place in the Mixed between Chiquita Team and BH14100 will take place.
