L’Aquila, 1 July– “The counter-reply of the professor. Luciano D’Amico he only intends to stir up a fuss about a topic that the regional government has already addressed, in the most deafening silence of the centre-left until the day of the General States of Information”. This is the prompt response of the group leader of Fratelli d’Italia in the Regional Council, Max Verrecchia. “And that one only wants to throw it into a mess – goes on – is demonstrated by the persistent inertia that the exponents of the center-left, with the Democratic Party first and foremost, have had. They could have in fact emphasized, already last October, any ‘weaknesses’ of the resolution of the Council containing the text in support of publishing, nor do I know of there having been an alternative text to the one drawn up by the majority, even after the approval of the law. Even today – Verrecchia remarks – Councilor D’Amico, if he had had true collaborative intentions, could have argued starting from the already existing law rather than ignoring it or pretending that it doesn’t exist, or even belittling it.

As for the procedural methods of the law in question, approved at the end of the legislature, it should be highlighted that the amendment represented the quickest tool to be able to establish the entire text of the law. The problem of publishing exists – reiterates the FdI exponent – and the centre-left has certainly not dealt with it. He shouts that it is precisely those who have not lifted a finger who are becoming professors on the subject today. As already stated, everything can be improved and the will of the regional government proceeds in this direction but I consider D’Amico’s statements extremely out of place: the real lack of respect towards the operators in the sector and in the eyes of the people of Abruzzo, is wanting to continue to affirm the untruth of the facts”, Verrecchia concludes.
