Arezzo, 1 July 2024 – Environment and urban greenery: the initiative of the Arezzo 2020 council group scheduled for Tuesday 2 July at 5 pm at the Villa Severi CAS

“Environmental issues are becoming increasingly topical and every city is called upon to provide answers in line with this need. The municipal administration promotes ‘green’ policies or European agreements whose scope is not yet clear. In the meantime, it repeatedly demonstrates with some interventions that it does not care about urban greenery. Developing the tree heritage, proceeding with proper maintenance, increasing investments in this sector, planning the future of urban greenery is a distinctive sign of an administration that is aware of how important all this is for the climate, the liveability of the city, social relations. We therefore invite you to participate in the event organized for Tuesday 2 July at 5 pm at the Villa Severi social aggregation center to understand the new policy needed in this sector, the quantity and quality of investments for proper maintenance of public greenery also in Arezzo”.

This is how the Arezzo 2020 council group leader Francesco Romizi presents the event entitled “The development of urban greenery for the well-being of citizens and living beings”, organized “in a place that thus rediscovers its social vocation for meeting and debate, despite the risks of ‘privatization’ that have occurred in recent months”.

In addition to Francesco Romizi, speakers will include Paolo Bellocci, regional coordinator of the Public Gardens Association, the agronomist and maintenance worker Andrea Carboni, the forestry expert Flavio Ducci representing Legambiente and the various committees including those of Saione, via Emilia, Villa Severi, Giardini Porcinai, Pionta.
