At the conclusion of timely investigations following a roadside check carried out during a patrol service, the military personnel of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Carabinieri Company of Termoli (CB) arrested a 38-year-old, already with several criminal and police records, responsible for the crime of evading house arrest to which he was subjected for another reason.
The man was stopped by officers while driving his car through the center of Termoli. During the investigations it emerged that he had arbitrarily left his home, located in a municipality in the province of Campobasso, clearly violating the conditions of house arrest to which he was subjected.
In this circumstance, the crime foreseen and punished by article 385 of the Penal Code, the 38-year-old was arrested in flagrante delicto for evasion. After the necessary formalities, he was again taken to his residence under house arrest, remaining at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Larino (CB).
During the subsequent hearing before the competent Judicial Authority, the arrest was validated as having been legitimately carried out by the officers and the 38-year-old was placed under house arrest.
