A free course for minors to become a Wood Operator. The Rodeo Project is a three-year training course to become a Wood Operator completely free because it is financed under PR FSE+ TOSCANA 2021-2027 and is part of Giovanisì, the Tuscany Region project for the autonomy of young people.
The course is organized by Ambiente Impresa, CNA’s training agency, in partnership with Pegaso Network Cooperativa Sociale Onlus, Scuola Professionale Edile and CPTdi Firenze.
It is intended for 15 young people under 18 who have completed the first cycle of education, and will take place from September 2024 to June 2027 with 2970 hours of teaching, divided between theory, laboratory and school-work alternation. The lessons will be held in Florence, from Monday to Friday, and will cover basic subjects such as languages, mathematics and science, as well as specific courses on professional skills in the sector.
To participate, candidates must have completed the first cycle of education or achieve it within the second year of the course. For foreign students, knowledge of the Italian language Level A2 is required.
If the requests exceed 15 available places, a selection will be made based on a written test and an interview, scheduled for 13 September 2024. At the end of the course, participants will have the opportunity to take the final exam to obtain the certificate qualification as a woodworker. It is possible to register until 9 September 2024.
