From the trio to take home the Provincial Title (laws), poker to finally say goodbye to the season and enrich the Sporting San Salvo bulletin board with the Regional Amateur Title.
On Saturday afternoon, on the neutral ground of Alanno, president Cilli’s white-blues faced Fucense Trasacco, winner of the Provincial Title of the Lanciano Delegation. Marsicans on the pitch with a higher average age, in the first half the Sansalvesi laid the foundations for success with the goals of Gaetano “Ciccio” Santamaria and Nicolino Cilliserved respectively by Silvio Cardarella and Dino Ciavatta.
After hitting a couple of woodwork that would have ended the match well ahead of schedule, the Sansalvesi conceded the goal that reignited Saturday. Network signed by Thomas CancelliFucense Trasacco even tried to equalise but in the open field the white and blues closed the game with a 4-1 using the stamps of Flavio Buccione and Davide Di Labio.
At the final whistle, there was a big party for captain Torzi and his teammates who in just eight days won two shiny Cups. «The season – the words of Fabio Lombardi, president of the Lanciano Lnd-Abruzzo Delegation – It ended in the best possible way, great sportsmanship on the pitch from both teams and I owe a big thank you to Giampiero Marchionne, president of Alanno, for his availability. We are already looking to next season, we will almost certainly start on September 21st and we are studying the possibility of developing an interregional phase.”
Sporting San Salvo has given itself a perfect season, doublet worthy of applause and will try to get to the end next season to continue celebrating.
