Not even a frame of the Angry Flood Victims passing through Faenza during the Tour de France

Very little satisfaction for the “Angry Flood Victims” of Faenza, who hoped to intercept the visibility offered today by the Tour de France to the city, with the passage through the historic center and then flowing towards Imola and Bologna.

No cameras have them, however, not those of Rai, which right around 2pm – the time of passage through the city of Manfreda – operated the switch from Rai Sport HD to Rinquadratiai2, inserting in the middle, a report on the “ice cream maker of the Azzurri” in Munich, the weather, advertising and a mini special on the Suzuki Bike Day. Nor those of Eurosport 1 produced by France Televisions.

However, the Tour did not arouse much enthusiasm in the streets of Faenza: few people were seen and, apart from a few postcards from the helicopter and a speech on the importance of ceramics for the city, broadcast on Rai, not much was seen on TV.

“We are a little disappointed – says Marcello Arfelli, one of the leaders of the protest – but also happy because we will have some coverage of RAI 3, TG3 and Carta Bianca. We have no regrets and everything went as planned. Furthermore, it served us to strengthen our sense of belonging and start collaborations with other Committees. It’s clear that we are a nuisance, otherwise they wouldn’t have deliberately obscured us…”.
