It’s Pride day. In Naples as in Milan, Bari, Treviso, Cagliari, and Ragusa. The LGBTQ+ community parades, demands rights and recognition. And he does it his way, with a show of colors and music. There is no shortage of the more political part of the community, with banners against Giorgia Meloni and Vannacci and the Government’s policy on civil rights. The event will culminate in the great concert in which several artists will participate: from Bianca Atzei to Aka 7even, from Emiliana Cantone to Rico Femiano, from Leo Gassmann to Ivan Granatino, from Ida Rendano and Ste. Godmother of the event will be Malika Ayane.
Also in the square were the mayor of Naples Gaetano Manfredi and the president of the Campania Region Vincenzo De Luca, at his first Pride. Also glimpsed Roberto Fico, one of the leaders of the 5 Star Movement. The Neapolitan mayor parades with a rainbow band around his neck. Staying on the subject of politicians, the center-right also wanted to make his presence felt. A delegation from Forza Italia takes part in the procession: “There is no wonder why Forza Italia participates in the gay pride in Naples – states MEP Fulvio Martusciello – the defense of rights belongs to everyone and not to the left. In the Region we want there is no discrimination of sex, religion and race. Go ahead.”
The parade is not only composed of members of the lgbtq+ community, but there are also many heterosexuals. There is no shortage of children. From the street you can see two two enormous floats from which music is blasted at full volume.
