Alberto Dossena he is a new player of the As. The defender arrives permanently from Cagliari, signing a 4-year contract. This is the club’s statement:
“Como 1907 is pleased to announce the signing of the preliminary contract of defender Alberto Dossena, 25 years old, from Cagliari, with a 4-year contract. Last season he made 35 appearances with the newly promoted rossoblu, in the fight for survival in Serie A, contributing with two goals and four assists.
Born in Brescia, Dossena began his career at Atalanta. Before signing for Cagliari in August 2022, the centre-back made 56 league appearances for Avellino, scoring three goals.
Cesc Fàbregas, coach of Como 1907, said about Dossena’s signing: “It is important for us, who have just arrived in a new championship, to invest in players who know and can compete in Serie A, something that Alberto has demonstrated. He is a strong and competitive player who we believe has great potential to grow with us.”
Upon his arrival at the club, Alberto commented: “I am very happy to be here in Como. I have already had the pleasure of meeting the people of the club and the city. However, what certainly pushed me to come here is the project. The Club has very big ambitions. The coach immediately gave me energy, a lot of energy. The director and the owners also made me understand how much faith they have in me and therefore I will have to repay it. I can’t wait to start and meet the rest of the team”.
