(mi-lorenteggio.com) GALLARATE (VA), 29 June 2024 – The concert scheduled for Saturday 29 June at the MA Museum is dedicated to Latin jazz soundsGA of Gallarate (Va) as part of the JAZZaltro festival, which has always successfully mixed world music (live start at 9.30 pm; external arena MAGA, via Egidio De Magri 1, entrance with free donation): the Atelier Latin Jazz group, formed by the pianist Nelson Betancourt Duarte and the percussionist Alfredo Muñoz, two prominent musicians of the Latin scene, in particular the Cuban one, and completed by Francesco Manzoni (trumpet), Tarcisio Olgiati (tenor sax), Paolo Favini (baritone sax), Mario Caccia (bass) and Marco Castiglioni (drums), will propose a kaleidoscope of musical styles and genres ranging from jazz to blues, from soul to funk , from Latin to rock. Special guests of the evening will be the Cuban percussionist Gabriel (el Chino) Delgado, the singer Patrizia Conte and Marco Simoncelli (chromatic harmonica).
The Latin Jazz Atelier is a sort of laboratory where musicians of various backgrounds and different origins alternate, giving rise to heterogeneous meetings and projects. It is a formation with a variable structure, characterized by a full-bodied (but at the same time elegant and refined) sound and by an enthralling rhythm section. The concert is part of the calendar of events of the ARCHIVIFUTURI event, the third edition of the Festival of Contemporary Archives, and is organized with the contribution of the Cariplo Foundation as part of the Provincial Emblematic Interventions, i.e. initiatives that are capable of producing a significant impact on quality of life of the community and on the promotion of the cultural, social and economic development of the reference territory. The show is also part of the Summer at HIC MA*GA MAJNO 2024 series, the program of musical events that enlivens the summer evenings of the arena in via De Magri.
