The 18-month-old baby who fell from a fourth-floor balcony in Pavia yesterday afternoon has died.
He died on 18 month old baby which yesterday afternoon, Friday 28 June, is fell from the balcony of his house in Pavia. The little boy was urgently transferred to the San Matteo polyclinic in Pavia: the injuries he sustained were, in fact, very serious and unfortunately he died during the night.
According to what has been reconstructed so far, the child fell from fourth floor and precisely from about fourteen meters high: he ended up inside the building located in via Cascina Spelta. Doctors and paramedics from 118 were immediately called, sent by the operations center of the Emergency and Urgency Company of Lombardy (Areu). The child had reported head trauma, lung trauma and multiple fractures.
In addition to the health workers, the officers of the Pavia Police Headquarters intervened and carried out all the necessary investigations to reconstruct the exact dynamics of the incident. The child was probably playing on the balcony while his mother was at home doing some errands. It could be to have climbed on an air conditioner and may have lost his balance and therefore went over the railing. The neighbors heard some noises and immediately tried to understand what had happened. The mother then followed her son to San Matteo in an ambulance: they tried to resuscitate him and quickly transfer him to hospital, but unfortunately it was not possible to save him.
