Cohesion funds, 1.8 billion euros advanced by the Government to Campania

Communication from the Deputy Minister of Economy Edmondo Cirielli

The first cohesion funds arrive for the Campania Region. This is an advance of 1.8 billion euros destined for the Region. This was communicated by the Deputy Minister of Economy, Edmondo Cirielli.
“Yet another demonstration of the great attention for the Campania region and its inhabitants by the Meloni Government, which has advanced 1.8 billion euros to the territorial body for Municipalities, Campi Flegrei and Bagnoli,” Cirielli declared. “These resources from the Government allow the implementation of the cohesion policy while waiting for Governor De Luca, more active in making propaganda than in solving problems in a spirit of institutional collaboration, to transmit a new project proposal as requested by Minister Fitto.”

THE STAB AT DE LUCA

The governor of Campania Vincenzo De Luca has been waging a polemical battle against Giorgia Meloni’s government for a year for the failure to subscribe to the cohesion funds which block the money destined for the Region.
Deputy Minister Cirielli takes the opportunity to launch another jab at the governor of Campania who reiterates the Government’s point of view regarding cohesion funds: «De Luca is probably not yet clear that an agreement between the parties is necessary and not a simple adhesion of the State to the proposal of the Campania Region”.
