Catania: New Acropolis celebrates the International Day of the Arts – Events

Even in Catania the celebration is held New Acropolis International Arts Day, embracing the theme “towards unity through diversity”. The first edition will be dedicated to Franco Battiato, a multifaceted character: singer, musician, composer, writer, film director, painter. There are many masks through which Franco Battiato showed himself, yet he dedicated his existence to the search for a “permanent center of gravity”, to the discovery of unity in diversity.

The appointment will be on June 29th at the art gallery Fil Rouge Project in via Firenze 229 B/C at 6.30pm. Through his figure we will reflect on better understanding ourselves and our nature and how Battiato’s works can help us find our deepest self, our essence.
His artistic work is therapeutic, designed for a spiritual evolution that accompanies those who work to improve their person and act in the world to the best of their possibilities and potential. It follows, and helps to follow, a path of research and inner work.

Conceived from this perspective, Battiato’s art is a working tool useful for increasing man’s disposition towards inner evolution.
Going in this direction will be the aim of the cultural meeting entitled “Better understand my essence“, which will take place through stories, readings and traditional teachings, accompanying the process with the music by Battiato performed live.
The meeting is aimed at those who are curious and are looking for something that makes their soul vibrate.

We are immortal beings
fallen into darkness, destined to wander;
forever and ever, until complete recovery.”
– Franco Battiato
