BETA DIRT RACING…
Andrea Gava riding a Beta 480 and Filippo Grimani with Beta 430 are the 2 new entries of the Beta Dirt Racing Team, managed by Paolo Machetti, who will try to establish themselves in the Overall classification of the Italian Motorally Championship.
In the first 2 rounds of the Italian Motorally championship in Riotorto, the 2 Beta Dirt standard-bearers both placed in the top 10 of the Overall class with over 350 drivers at the start. In detail, Andrea Gava with his 26 points bounces back into 3rd overall position on equal merit with other competitors, however remaining at the head of the E 600 class with the maximum points (50).
Equally authoritative was Filippo Grimani alias “the Chilean”, fresh winner of the 3rd round of the Enduro Master Beta challenge, which took place in Foligno last weekend. The new signing, in addition to having established himself among the top 10 best players in his very first experience with the roadbook, also achieved an excellent placing in the premier D-450 class with a 4th place just a handful of points away from the podium area.
For the newly formed FX Rally class, Andrea Mancini returns to ride his Beta 430 with a thirst for redemption after the excellent performance of the 1st day of Motorally ruined by a zero on day 2. Currently, the already multiple Italian Motorally and Raid TT champion appears in 5th position in his class (FX Rally) with 20 total points and a good chance of aiming for the podium already with the imminent weekend in Foligno.
Andrea Sassoli riding a Beta 125 2T will try to repeat the excellent results of Riotorto which saw him on both days on the top step of the podium with 50 very important points which will also give him breathing space for the next events.
In addition to the official drivers, a large number of team loyalists will line up under the Dirt Racing tent and will compete not only in the CIMR but also in the historic event with the Challenge Motorally Master Beta.
Also over the weekend we will find out who will take on the role of Lady Beta: a project coined by the Italian Motorcycle Federation, the women’s commission and the Betamotor brand.
