Catania, they don’t stop at the halt: 5 young people reported

CATANIA – The escape in a car lasted just a few minutesof five young people, between 20 and 25, who did not stop at the state police checkpoint, set up as part of the ordinary night patrol services, in the streets and squares of the city.

The agents of the Upgsp police squad engaged in a checkpoint in the San Cristoforo district they noticed a suspicious car. The police ordered the driver to stop, but the car with the five boys, instead of stopping at a halt, suddenly accelerated and then fled.

Thanks to the help of another steering wheel, the race of the five young people was immediately blocked in via Barcellona.

All occupants they were accompanied to the police offices for the investigation of the case. Once identified, it emerged that one of the young people already had a criminal record.

The driver of the car has been reported for resisting a public official, fined for various violations of the Highway Code and was reported as a user of narcotic substances since, during the check carried out inside the vehicle, 1.3 grams of marijuana was found.
