73 new penitentiary police officers arriving in Calabria

ROME In the next few days, Calabria will welcome 73 new penitentiary police officers belonging to the 183 training course, a contingent made up of 31 women and 42 men. This first allocation represents a significant reinforcement for the security of the region’s penitentiaries, deploying the new resources strategically to address the specific needs of each institution.

Assignment details

Catanzaro: will receive the largest contingent with 33 new agents, including 7 women and 26 men. This assignment underlines the strategic importance of the city, home to one of the most important penitentiary institutions in the region. Cosenza: will welcome 3 agents, divided into 2 women and 1 man, thus strengthening the staff of the local structure. Crotone: will be supported by 2 new female officers, a targeted contribution to strengthen the presence of women in prison staff. Vibo Valentia: will have the addition of 8 female agents, a choice that reflects the focus on greater gender balance in the staff. Castrovillari: will benefit from 6 new female officers, strengthening the operational capacity of the structure. Corigliano Rossano: will see the arrival of 21 new agents, including 6 women and 15 men, a significant increase to improve the management and safety of the institute.
