Sassari. The staff of the Flying Squad of the Sassari Police Headquarters – we read in a press note – “arrested a woman of Nigerian nationality found in possession of a narcotic substance divided into sixty perfectly sealed ovules, for a total weight of just under one kg “.
The note continues: “Specifically, during a series of anti-crime activities, with particular attention to drug trafficking from the continent, carried out at the port of Porto Torres, numerous travelers arriving on the ‘island. During the checks on the passengers disembarked from the motor ship coming from Genoa, a foreign woman immediately showed signs of nervousness and intolerance, arousing the suspicion of the operating officers who decided to investigate further, subjecting the woman to a personal search at the end of which, 60 ova containing narcotic substances such as heroin and cocaine were found.”
“Subsequent analyses, carried out at the laboratories of the Provincial Scientific Police Cabinet of the Sassari police headquarters, confirmed that two types of narcotic substance, Heroin and Cocaine, were contained inside the wrappers. For what has been stated, the woman was arrested for the crimes of detention for the purpose of dealing narcotic substances and taken to the Sassari Bancali prison where it will remain at the disposal of the competent AG”, concludes the Police Headquarters.
