The first of four concerts in Bari by Vasco Rossi It was a unique show. Over 50 thousand spectators in the stands and on the lawn of the San Nicola stadium, the mega stage 28 meters high, 86 wide. It is now known that the roads surrounding the car parks are inadequate and that the access routes create a funnel: the red and white fans who are forced to remain in queues at the end of matches with high turnout of spectators know this well. Yesterday when there were no free spaces left in the paid parking areas entrusted to the Amtab (3 euros), many left their cars on the side of provincial road 110 and parked wildly even on some roundabouts and in free spaces in the greenery overlooking . At least on one of the (banned) roads around 7.30pm parking would have been guaranteed by the local police, without fines, precisely because of the soldout.

There was also no shortage of criticism for the public transport service guaranteed by the Amtab buses, as many as ten, which travel to and from the stadium. “On the occasion of the concerts at the San Nicola Stadium on 25, 26, 29 and 30 June 2024, the shuttles were activated,” we read on Muvt’s social page. And some controversy arose over the return: “Total disorganization – says a spectator to Republic – by those in the area who had to manage traffic, dedicated shuttle buses, and the taxi parking area. Dedicated shuttles stuck in traffic because the much-vaunted preferential lane wasn’t there.”

The debut, therefore, did not fully convince on the organizational front. While the Amtab prepares for three other delicate dates, here is the detail: the shuttle buses are in service from 3.20pm (first departure) to 2am (last departure), from 3.20pm to 8pm frequency 20 minutes (3 buses from 12 metres), from 8pm to midnight with a frequency of 60 minutes (1 bus of 12 metres), from midnight to 2am with a frequency of 10 minutes (6 buses of 12 metres).

And here’s the route. Outward journey: piazza Moro (terminus), via Crisanzio, via Quinitino Sella, under via Quintino Sella, viale Ennio, piazza Giulio Cesare, viale Orazio Flacco, Ponte Solarino, they will take the new slip road connecting to the roundabout on the left, they will turn right to via Cotugno, then via generali Bellomo, state road 271, exit Stadio San Nicola, roundabout on the right onto via Ludwig, roundabout south on the right onto via Nicola Vernola (terminus). For the return: via Nicola Vernola (terminus), Giuseppe Rossi junction, viale Donato Menichella, via Giulio Petroni, Quintino Sella subway, Corso Italia, piazza Moro (terminus).
