For now, the bridges over the Secchia in Modena, Ponte Alto and Ponte dell’Uccellino, between Modena and Soliera, will not reopen to traffic. In fact, the river level, although falling, has not yet fallen below the precautionary threshold. The reopening will be evaluated in the next few hours.

Throughout the day today, Wednesday 26 June, however, the Orange alert for hydraulic criticality issued by the Regional Agency for Territorial Security and Civil Protection remains in force, while the Yellow alert also continues for thunderstorms, expected especially in the mountain areas.

The bridges over the Secchia plain also remain closed, awaiting the passage of the flood peak, while the Province, along the branch of provincial road 255, has reopened the Navicello Vecchio bridge over the Panaro river.

Via Curtatona, with the bridge over the Tiepido river, will probably be passable on Thursday 27 June, as soon as the cleaning operations are completed.

Monitoring of the Modena hydraulic node was active throughout the night and will continue in the next few hours.

On Tuesday 25 June the Secchia flood well exceeded threshold 3, reaching 11.06 meters at Ponte Alto at 4.30 pm and passing slowly through the night and morning. At the moment the level is still above 9 metres.

For civil protection, the single integrated operations room in Marzaglia remains active.

The municipal technicians, Aipo, and Civil Protection volunteers are involved in monitoring the hydraulic node; the local police are in charge of the traffic. The coordination of the interventions is entrusted to the Coc, the Municipal Operations Center.
