“Yesterday, in the Regional Council, the centre-right majority rejected a resolution (the first signatory was our regional councilor Arboscello) which asked to stop the process for the placement of the “Golar Tundra” regasifier in Vado-Savona”. This is what Emanuele Parrinello, provincial secretary of the Savona Democratic Party and Simone Anselmo, city secretary of the Savona Democratic Party, comment in a note.

“Shortly afterwards the majority approved an agenda which asked the Government to appoint a new commissioner for the work (the current commissioner, i.e. Toti, is evidently not in a position to carry out the role, even if he believes he can continue to be president of the Region…), demonstrating the right’s firm intention to move forward with the project”.

“The centre-right regional councilors elected in the province of Savona (Vaccarezza, Bozzano, Brunetto and Mai), as already happened previously, voted unitedly in favor of the regasification terminal. Months ago we wrote that the regasification terminal was a slap from Toti to the citizens of Savonese”.

“Now we can say that, with or without Toti, for the right the desire to slap our territory does not change. Just as the method does not change: imposing and impervious to any attempt at discussion and confrontation with municipal administrators and with the realities of the territory. A method that must be changed as soon as possible, with new elections and a new centre-left regional council”, conclude the Dems.
