“Artisans in the Chair” with the Bernardi Institute – Mechanics

A path of learning and innovation in Heat Treatments

The project was recently concluded with great success “Craftsmen in the Chair” Of Confartigianato Imprese Padovaaimed at students of the address Mechanics of the Bernardi Institute of Padua. This training course, focused on thermal treatments, offered students a unique opportunity to learn directly from industry professionals and to explore in depth the most advanced techniques and methodologies.

Classroom lessons with artisan entrepreneurs

The students participated in two in-class meetings full of ideas and reflections:

  • the businessman Antonio Chiaradia, founder of TIOXITECH SRL., instead explored the topic of anodizing aluminium.

These lessons allowed the students to acquire a solid theoretical basis on heat treatment processes, preparing the ground for subsequent company visits.

The project reached its culmination with visits to companies The New Venetian Tempera And Tioxitech. These field experiences allowed students to see what they learned in the classroom in action, closely observing the heat treatment processes and understanding the operational complexities of these techniques. The companies’ artisans and technicians shared their experience and advice, offering a valuable perspective on daily work and the importance of maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

What is “Artisans in Chair”?

“Artigiani in Cattedra” is an initiative created by Confartigianato Imprese Padova with the aim of recreating the dynamics of a business in the classroom. From the customer’s order to the final result, the students are supported by various artisan entrepreneurs involved in the project. The project includes modular coaching paths, in which students can participate in projects, challenges and teamwork, just as happens in the real world of business. The aim is to provide children with a practical and educational experience, capable of best preparing them for future challenges.
