Tourism in the Brescia area, the resources on the way

Resources from the Lombardy Region amounting to almost 8 million euros arriving in Brescia, in detail they will be 7,934,755 euros. These resources will produce total investments in the area equal to 21 million euros.

This is what emerged from the meeting that the councilor Barbara Mazzali held at Palazzo Lombardia with representatives of the main trade associations (CLAAI Lombardy, CNA Lombardy, Confartigianato Lombardia, Confcommercio Lombardia, Confesercenti Regionale della Lombardia, Confindustria Lombardia) to discuss and present the start of the experimentation of National database of accommodation facilities and the release of the National Identification Code (CIN). This measure, already adopted in the past by the Lombardy Region, is now being extended to a national level.

Lombardy is a pilot region

Councilor Mazzali clarified some key points regarding the transition from CIR to CIN and discussed the application of the Ministerial Decree of 6 June 2024, which regulates the interoperability of the national database of accommodation facilities with the regional database. The Lombardy Region was chosen as a pilot body to start the experimentation.

“As a pilot Region – explained Mazzali – we will be able to test the procedure and propose simplifications to reduce the obligations for our accommodation facilities to a minimum.”

The start dates of the experimentation are imminent, with the trade associations it has been agreed to carry out tests with a selected group of structures before expanding the experimentation to the entire range of Lombardy accommodation structures. The working group with the associations will follow the entire experimentation through periodic moments of discussion

During the meeting, the councilor highlighted the approval by the Regional Council of the scrolling of the ranking of the call for accommodation facilities, with a further financing of 24.5 million euros in addition to the 30 million already put in place last year. It underlined its commitment to promoting the quality of the tourist offer and supporting local businesses; the measure, at the conclusion of the latest checks, could affect over 80 accommodation facilities in Lombardy and generate a total impact of over 60 million euros.
The meeting concluded with the commitment to maintain an open and constructive dialogue throughout the testing phase.
