Tony Tiong returns to speak and does so through the Giangrande law firm: he sells Us Ancona to a well-known Italian business group and promises registration in Serie D and more. This is what emerges from a statement sent by the Milanese law firm to Ansa and made known yesterday morning. The press release also contains the letter signed by Tony Tiong himself sent to the FIGC. The announced closing of the operation should therefore take place today, with “a well-known national entrepreneurial group” through the operation’s advisor, Federico Marsella.

“Negotiations are being finalized for the transfer of control of the Us Ancona company” writes the Giangrande firm in the name and on behalf of Mr. Tiong, who also makes it known that the Italian Football Federation has been formally informed and that the details will be announced at the conclusion of the operation, already set for today. Specifically, Tony Tiong will today give up control of Us Ancona by selling the entire share capital of The Dream, a single-member company based in Porto Sant’Elpidio which owns 95% of Us Ancona, but also 100% of Ancona Sports Center, a company that was established to acquire the land from the Municipality for the construction of the sports center. The new buyer, in other words, could soon complete the acquisition of the land from the Municipality.

“This operation – writes Tiong lightly to the FIGC regarding the sale of the club – is aimed at allowing business and sporting continuity through the rotation with the new ownership which, in accordance with its own expressions of intent, will provide Us Ancona of the managerial and financial capabilities for the purpose of preserving its sporting heritage, the possibility of enrolling in Serie D and in particular the continuity of the relevant youth sector, the historical identity of Us Ancona, as well as the best interest of the community and of the fans themselves , without the need to resort to the procedure pursuant to art. 52, c. 10, Noif. The change of ownership and management will be communicated once the notarial deeds have been formalized”.
