Three truly special days at Archaeological Park of Herculaneum those of 29 June, 20 July and 31 August 2024 because an exceptional event will be held and not to be missed. Three special Saturdays in which, starting from 5.30 am, some will be possible extraordinary visits at dawn to the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum: an awakening between music and archaeology, a truly special format organized by CoopCulture.

Visitors will be escorted in a journey between archeology and musicin a crescendo of emotions that unites nature, landscape and territory, presenting, at first light in the morning, the Archaeological Park of Herculaneum in a completely new way. The presence of musicians of a certain level is also expected, including the great saxophonist Daniele Sepe.

Visitors will discover the sunrise in the beautiful Herculaneum Archaeological Park accompanied by music which will become the common thread of an evocative experience, expressed in a narrative that crosses eras and cultures, telling stories of grandeur and drama and blending with the grandeur of the archaeological landscape.

The musical program embraces a vast repertoire, from the music of Roberto De Simone, Benjamin Britten. WA Mozart, Gabriel Fauré, Jansug Kakhidze and songs from the popular Campania, Sardinian and Portuguese traditions, interpreted by Marina Bruno (vocals), Enzo Pietropaoli (double bass) and Daniele Sepe (saxophone).

Special visits are organized by CoopCulture where you can ask for all the information

  • When: Saturday 29 June, 20 July and 31 August 2024, at 5.30 am
  • Timetables: 05.30 – 05.45 – 06.00 – 06.15 – 06.30 (max 25 people per shift)
  • Cost: full euro 25.00 | reduced groups minimum 12 people and between 6 and 25 years euro 20.00 | free for disabled people, children under 6 years old.
