On the weekend of 22 and 23 June, the regional Beginners B Championships took place at the La Bastia municipal swimming pool in Livorno, bringing together over 40 clubs from all over Tuscany. The UISP Swimming 2003 presented itself with 24 athletes for a total of 48 individual registrations and 6 relays and the results were not long in coming: dozens of updated personal bests, 2 individual medals and 4 in the relay, as well as several placings in the top 10 positions. The star of the event was Elisa Ferroni who won gold in the 50 individual breaststroke and in the 4×50 breaststroke relay together with Maya Alderigi, Eleonora Bani and Angelica Malfitano, a bronze in the 4×50 dolphin with a fabulous last leg that gave the surprise medal, with her Eleonora Bani, Asia Possenti and Kinzica Nencini and finally a fourth place in the 100 freestyle that still burns. Also highlighted was Massimiliano Mazzola who won a bronze in the 50 freestyle with an excellent time and then concluded the 4×50 freestyle taking her to the third step of the podium with his friends Francesco Benedetti, Lorenzo Niccolai and Elia Lencioni.
