Afragola
A 60-year-old man was arrested by officers of the Afragola police station on charges of multi-aggravated robbery, committed on 13 December 2022 in Afragola. The robber, together with at least one accomplice currently being identified, after having entered the BPER credit institute in Afragola, had immobilized the customers and ordered two employees, threatened with two guns at point, to hand over both the money kept in the boxes than that contained inside the safe, thus managing to remove approximately . 13,000.00. The robbery was particularly bloody because the robbers, to prevent any type of resistance from the bank employees, had hit one of the victims on the head with the butt of a gun. Once the robbery was completed, they fled in a car which later turned out to have a cloned license plate, being chased by a crew from the Afragola police station and one from the local municipal police, but they managed to escape. The investigations were carried out through the analysis of public and private video surveillance systems, as well as through telephone and environmental interceptions. Furthermore, the biological analyzes carried out by the Scientific Police allowed the DNA of the arrested man to be detected on one of the clothes worn and abandoned in the street during the escape. During the investigations, clothes and accessories used by the suspect to disguise himself and carry out an inspection undisturbed, the day before the crime, at the credit institution which was the scene of the robbery, were found.
