Like every coach, Palladino also has a staff with whom he shares his work experiences

Raffaele Palladino, Fiorentina’s new coach, confirmed in a press conference the names of the two closest members of his staff, who also helped him in Monza: they are Federico Peluso and Stefano Citterio. Let’s see who they are.

Federico Peluso

Born in 1984, former defender of, among others, Atalanta, Juventus and Sassuolo, with 274 appearances in Serie A, Peluso joined Palladino’s staff at Monza in October 2022 in the unspecified capacity of technical collaborator, after deciding to retire a month earlier. It was he, when the coach was disqualified, who guided the Brianza team from the sidelines, in a certain sense acting as substitutes given the unavailability of Citterio as well. “We are a team led by a great coach, we are an excellent team and we work as a team”, his words after a draw against Torino in May 2023.

Stefano Citterio

His last coaching experience was at Renate, eight years after which, in 2020, he began working with Palladino. Raised in Milan, he played five years in the early 2000s for the Lucchese area, quitting in 2009 after two years at Castelnuovo. What does surprising mean to him? “He means continuing like this, trying with everyone to have our say and impose our game when possible”, he said in January 2024 regarding Palladino’s desire to surprise everyone in the current year.
