A blow to the heart perhaps for Valentino Rossi, but Marco Bezzecchi he chooses to leave the cradle that raised him and joins the Aprilia factory team, it’s another Italian pairing, for Aprilia it’s SIMPLY THE BEZ.
Marco Bezzecchi has signed a multi-year contract to race with Aprilia Racing starting in 2025. An important step for the Noale manufacturer which once again sees a full-time Italian driver in the top class, after Lorenzo Savadori’s debut in MotoGP in 2020.
The 2025 lineup will then see Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín Almoguera as teammates, a couple that promises to consolidate theAprilia at the top of the MotoGP. Marco Bezzecchi has demonstrated since his debut in MotoGP in 2022, that he possesses great talent and a lot of determination, qualities that allowed him to obtain 3 victories, 9 podiums and 4 pole positions and to win the hearts of Italian fans.
2024 does not match the qualities shown last year, thanks to the GP23 which has always been indicated as a more difficult bike than both the GP22 and the GP24. Marco Bezzecchi he therefore chose to embrace Noale’s cause, get on a competitive factory bike, the desire of many riders, and try to aim for the title. The challenge will begin inside the garage, with a fast and determined teammate like Jorge Martin, looking for redemption and perhaps a little revenge.
Aprilia is thus securing a pair of young and very fast riders. The problem will perhaps be for the VR46 team, already balanced between Ducati and Yamaha, which will have to find another level guide. There are rumors of a Franco Morbidelli landing, if he will be able to demonstrate his worth in the rest of the season with the Ducati GP24, or Ducati could ask Valentino to marry Aldeguer, in order to avoid losing a talent and paying a large penalty.
