At the moment the man is not under investigation, but all investigations deemed appropriate and necessary by the police are underway.
Double murder Fano: married couple found dead at home
Today the news of a double murder that occurred in Fano shook the Marche community. A 75-year-old man was found with his head smashed by a blunt object, while his 70-year-old wife was suffocated, probably by strangulation. The alarm was raised by his son, in his early forties, who lives in the apartment upstairs. The son stated that he was not involved in the murder of his parents and is currently under interrogation. There was a fight in the house, during which the elderly man tried to defend himself without success. At the moment the son is not under investigation and no restrictive measures have been taken against him.
The forensic police are carrying out investigations. Also present on site are the head of the prosecutor’s office and magistrate on duty, Maria Letizia Fucci. The flying squad is questioning the other tenants of the building.
The victims are Giuseppe Ricci and Luisa Marconi, aged 75 and 70 respectively, both pensioners. Their son, Luca, lives alone in the apartment on the upper floor of the house in via Fanella 127. It was he who raised the alarm, calling the firefighters to force open the door of his parents, who did not answer the calls. Luca is still under interrogation while scientific investigations continue in the house.
In these hours, investigators are listening, in addition to the couple’s son, to all family members, relatives and neighbors to reconstruct the dynamics of the two murders. While the police investigations, coordinated by prosecutor Fucci, continue, the woman’s body was transferred to the morgue; that of her husband, who could provide useful information since he defended himself from the attacker, is still in her home, where the forensic police are looking for traces relevant to the investigation.
