On the occasion of the celebrations of San Giovanni on 24 June, the municipal administration adopted – in agreement with the Prefecture and the Police Headquarters of Turin – a series of measures aimed at guaranteeing high safety standards before, during and after the events.

On Monday 24 June, the traditional fireworks display will take place as usual in the area of ​​Piazza Vittorio Veneto and Piazza Gran Madre di Dio at 10.30pm.

ACCESS TO THE ENTERTAINMENT AREA

Access to Piazza Vittorio Veneto for the fireworks display will be allowed to a maximum of 49,500 people. The public will be able to access the square starting from around 6pm through a series of gates controlled by specialized personnel and positioned on all the streets leading to the square:

Traffic ban from 9.00am

The Vittorio Emanuele I Bridge, starting from 9.00 am and until the needs cease, will be closed to vehicular traffic (with the exception of emergency vehicles, the public force and vehicles with the event sign) in both directions and to traffic pedestrian on the south sidewalk. On the northern pavement of the bridge, pedestrian traffic, in both directions, will be prohibited from 12.00.

The routes of public transport passing through the area affected by the event will also undergo some deviations, both on Sunday 23rd and Monday 24th June.
On St. John’s Day the metro will be in service with a special timetable, extending the closing time to 1.00 am.

Piazza Vittorio Veneto: closure of underground parking, suspension of TAXI services, bike sharing and scooter rental

The underground car park in Piazza Vittorio Veneto will be closed starting from 9.00 am on Monday 24 June. Parking subscribers will be able to leave the car park no later than 3.00 pm.

From 6.00 am on June 24th to 5.00 am on June 25th the area intended for TAXIs in the southern exedra of Piazza Vittorio Veneto will be suspended, while the Gran Madre taxi area will be suspended from 6.00 pm on June 24th until the needs cease. By 12.00 on Monday 24 June and until the needs cease, the temporary removal of bike sharing and electric scooter rental vehicles present in the square will also be carried out.

ADMINISTRATION OF DRINKS

From 12pm on Sunday 23 June to 2am on Monday 24 June, and in any case until the presence of the public is detected, the administration, sale and possession for takeaway of drinks with containers suitable for offending the person will be prohibited. inside the perimeter area delimited by the parallel streets, on both sides, of the streets traveled by the historical procession and in Piazza Castello.
