In Brescia the decision is made for the tram

While in Bergamo, work began some time ago for the construction of the second T2 line of the valley tram and exactly the one that will connect the city with Zogno and then hope to continue its run up to San Pellegrino Terme from 9 this morning, Monday 24 June, at Palazzo Loggia in Brescia the city council will discuss what is planned for the city of Brescia. A key step, the one that the Chamber will find itself discussing and voting on today: the councilors are in fact called to promote (or reject) the definitive project of the T2, one of the infrastructural works that will characterize this mandate led by Laura Castelletti. A 426.3 million euro project (of which only almost 4 will come out of the municipal portfolio) which will unite Fiera and Pendolina. On the table at Palazzo Loggia is the approval of the definitive project, the last step that separates the work from the tender and then continues with the award and the start of construction sites in 2025. The T2 route will be spread over 21 stops for just under 11 kilometers and will be complementary to the metro route. According to the forecasts and data presented by the deputy mayor and councilor for Mobility, Federico Manzoni, thanks to the entry into operation of the tram, in 2032 local public transport passengers will increase by 47%, with a reduction in private vehicle traffic by 5%.
