The results of the Monza Resegone, 2024 edition, were made official yesterday evening, Sunday 23 June.
Here are the winners of the Monza Resegone 2024
The historic race organized by Monza mountaineering society started as always from the center of Monza on Saturday evening: over 900 athletes who, in teams of three people in the “Classic” mode or in a relay in the “relay” mode, ran on the 42 km route that separates the Arengario of Monza from the Monzesi Alpinisti Hut.
As regards the classic race, the team came in first place “The Running Club of Luino” with a time of 03:09:57 219. In second place was “Asd Go Market” from Molteno with a time of 03:24:49 107 and in third place “AutoCogliati Sq. A” of Lecco.
As regards the “relay” mode, the team took first place Villasanta “Business&Sport/Metaltherm” with time 02:43:37 72. In second place the team Caratese “ASD Daini Carate Brianza” with a time of 02:56:27 84 and in third place “Polisportiva Moving Fit Therapy Technology” of Lissone (02:58:12 69).
The awards ceremony on Friday
Now the appointment is for Friday 28 June: at 9.00 pm the Arengario of Monza will host the awards ceremony, an opportunity to celebrate this great milestone of one hundred years together with all the citizens.
In the presence of the institutions and ‘friends’ of Monza Resegone, a special volume entitled “Monza Resegone 100 years of racing, friendship and passion”. The volume, created with the support of Gioielleria Colombo, will be delivered to the classified teams and will also be accessible to everyone, for a minimum contribution of 10 euros. The proceeds will go to support the research, care and assistance projects of the Maria Letizia Verga Committee.
