The damage was widespread and ice balls with a diameter of 4 centimeters rained down from the sky and hit the ground violently. Damage to vehicles on roads and to windows of homes and offices; numerous trees were also felled between Parona and Mortara. It was even necessary to block traffic on the former state road 596 towards Gropello, which was interrupted by the fall of a trunk which invaded the road. In Vigevano in Piazza Ducale the hail shattered the lamp holders of the street lamps. The firefighters were forced to carry out many interventions. There was also a state of alert in the Municipality where the mayor, Andrea Ceffa, wanted to follow the evolution of the situation minute by minute. Bad weather takes its toll, once again, on the area. Perhaps it is time to prepare protocols to be strategic and organized in the response to extreme climate phenomena.
