Dry taps, here are the new closures – Pescara

PESCARA. New night closures of tanks, in some municipalities in the province of Pescara, starting tomorrow. This was communicated by Aca Spa, specifying that these are measures included in the latest weekly programming and depend on the gradual decreases in the flow of the springs and the overconsumption caused by the high temperatures which lead to progressive lowering of the tank levels.
The summer starts under the sign of inconveniences and dry taps: greater critical issues are found in Scafa, Tocco da Casauria, Torre de’ Passeri, Pianella, Pescosansonesco, Cepagatti, Penne, Manoppello, Nocciano and Città Sant’Angelo. The time slot affected is generally from 10.30pm to 6am. Specifically, tomorrow in Cepagatti, the closure of the Capital Piano di Coccia reservoir is expected, which affects around 8 thousand inhabitants of the urban center up to the roundabout between via Chieti and via Valignani, especially from 1 am to 4 am. In Città Sant’Angelo the Cipressi and Fonte canale reservoirs will close both tomorrow and Wednesday, while a reduction in the water flow is expected for Colle di Sale. In Manoppello the closure has been scheduled for Tuesday in the areas of the airport and Interporto, Santa Arabona and Contrada Marinelli. In Nocciano there will be no water in the areas of Fonte Schiavo and Casali, tomorrow and Wednesday, while in the urban center of Penne, from tomorrow to Thursday. Closures are also scheduled for four consecutive days in Pescosansonesco (old and new).
From tomorrow to Thursday no water in Pianella, in the urban centre, in the Colle Vecchio district, Pratodonico district and surrounding areas. In Scafa several areas are affected by the closure of the tanks (urban centre, via Bellavista, Contrada Decontra and other streets), but only on Tuesday. In Tocco da Casauria there will be no water tomorrow, in the entire territory with the exception of the Tiburtina area. In Torre de’ Passeri there will be no water tomorrow, in the cemetery area, in via Einaudi, in via D’Annunzio and in other streets. (sdv)
