Olbia. Art exhibitions continue in the The Green Life showroom dedicated to artistic wine labels. The month of June is dedicated to Alberto Mandis and to Mogoro winery. The designer was born in Mogoro (OR) – where he currently lives and paints – into a family of artists. He was born artistically as a musician, painter and wood artist.

After studying for 12 years at the Civic School of Oristano, he obtained a diploma in Jazz guitar. His musical creativity has no limits: he plays electric, acoustic, synth guitar and also a very particular instrument (known as synth guitar or wind guitar, or breath guitar) characterized by the fact that the strength, intensity and dynamics are managed through the emission of the musician’s breath thanks to a mouthpiece similar to that of a wind instrument. Guitarist, composer, arranger, with a warm, full-bodied and melodic sound, he has a particular elective affinity for Pat Metheny. His vocation extends from modern jazz to the most recent experiments. In addition to his scholastic studies, having grown up and matured in the spirit of modern jazz, he possesses the cultural prerequisites necessary to effectively push himself on the difficult path of personal research. It should be underlined the full recognition of guitar competitions such as that of “Emergenze Chitarre” organized by Playgame for the national magazine Chitarre, with the songs “Another Life”, “To Infinity”, “The Moon” and “In the Air” with reviews by Simone Gianlorenzi.

However, Alberto Mandis’ main activity is that of a wood craftsman. For 60 years, the Mandis family has been making traditional furniture in Mogoro with artisanal innovation. Alberto is also a muralist, there are several wall works created by the artist inside Mogoro. Not just wood and walls: Alberto Mandis is a 360 degree artist. For the Mogoro winery he created the artistic label of the fine wine “T’Amo”, Nuragus di Cagliari DOC. The label depicts universal love in every sense and the attachment of the Sardinians to their land. The exhibition will last for the entire month of June, while the T’Amo wine will remain in the cellar of the showroom dedicated to signature labels.
