ANCONA – A scene worthy of the scariest crime films: elderly man robbed near Porta Pia while resting on a bench. It happened this morning (June 23), around 11.30when a man of about 76 years old sat down, as he would often do, to look at the sea and the Port.
Suddenly, however, on one of the benches just placed by the Administration near Porta Pia, in via XXIX Settembre, someone surprised him from behind by placing a knee on his back. The thief would have taken the purse and ran away in a flash. Probably, the scoundrel stopped precisely because he would have seen the bag next to the man. He would have robbed it in the hope of finding some money inside.
