ANCONA – The 2024 edition of the National Accademia Marchigiani Award of the Year took place on Friday 21 June. Among the winners stands out the name of the neurosurgeon Dr. Roberto Trignani, Head of the Neurosurgery Division of the AOUM known, together with a multidisciplinary team, for the use of “awake” neurosurgical procedures which allow a strategic alliance between patient and technique.
Dr. Roberto Trignani explains: “The award was dedicated to the multidisciplinary team that makes the application of these techniques possible, a team for which I am spokesperson.” The reasons for this prestigious recognition concern in particular the humanization of care in the neurosurgical field which allows the patient to actively participate in his treatment path. It is an award that brings the spotlight on methods that humanize the technologies used in the operating rooms of the Marche University Hospital and on the high professionalism present. Technique, rationality and professionalism naturally represent decisive elements for the treatment and recovery of the disease but if accompanied by a human dimension of surgery they produce extraordinary therapeutic effects.
