Tomorrow and Monday, Civitavecchio and Tarquinians return to the polls for the run-offs in which they will choose their respective first citizens.
In the first round in Civitavecchia, out of 43,632 eligible voters, 27,676 voters (63.43%) voted with 567 invalid ballots, 146 blank ballots and 23 contested ballots.
With Ernesto Tedesco gone, the choice is between Massimiliano Grasso of the centre-right and Marco Piendibene of the centre-left.
Grasso starts ahead with 9,323 votes and is supported by Fratelli d’Italia, Grasso mayor, Lega, The turning point and Civitavecchia 2030. For him there is external support from Forza Italia, which instead supported Poletti in the first round.
For Piendibene 5,767 preferences, supported by the Democratic Party, the Civic Union and the Green Left Alliance and the 5 Star Movement after the alliance. External support from Italia Viva and Roberta Galletta.
In Tarquinia with 4,009 votes against the 2,438 of Giulivi (outgoing mayor), Sposetti will start ahead and the voters of Renato Bacciardi will be decisive.
Polling stations open on Sunday from 7am to 11pm and on Monday from 7am to 3pm.
