VARESE – An important anniversary occurs today for a Varese company involved in volunteering. On 22 June 1994, exactly 30 years ago, Il was born in Varese Mobile emergency unit, civil protection volunteer corps. The association itself celebrated the milestone with a post on social media.

«Our association was born in Varese – we read in the message – which, in the following 30 years, it would be opportunity for growth for many kids accompanied in their journey of service and a source of gratitude for many communities assisted or rescued in the most serious disasters that have struck our nation”. The organization operates in various fields, the main one being civil protection. Currently the volunteers work in agreement with the municipalities of Varese, Besano, Bisuschio, Porto Ceresio and Gressoney Saint Jean, as well as with the Ceresio Lake Basin Authority in the provinces of Varese and Como.

«To the Mayors and to the administrators who have placed their trust in us, to the family members who have always supported us and to all the volunteers of yesterday and today who, even when very young, have dedicated themselves to allowing the Civil Protection Nmpi Varese to reach this thirty-year goal with renewed momentum, our heartfelt thanks», is the message of thanks from the association. The association’s volunteers are mostly young people aged between 16 and 26 years old.
